Knowing how much I love animals, a friend of mine told me of Rufus' plight. She could not catch him and couldn't keep him since she already owns a pit bull dog. (Another rescue we saved when we worked together)

We call Rufus, "Roo" for short. No one likes the name Rufus really. Roo has integrated well with Alex and Fuzzy. He and Alex play often and Fuzzy, being older, likes to hang out and watch them. |

We're pretty sure Roo was left at the apartment complex after his family moved out. He's very loving, litter-box trained, and has a great personality so he's not the typical scared feral cat.
It took me five times, bringing him food near the dumpsters, before I could snag him with the trap I finally purchased on that last day. What starving cat can say no to Sardines?! Roo didn't and we headed off to my vet to get him checked out and tests run. He was negative for FelLv so we were able to keep him and start slowly introducing him to his new family. |
